System Administrator

Position Overview

• Cogniter Technologies is seeking a motivated and experienced

  Sr. System Administrator

  with 3 6 years of experience. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and supporting the company s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across systems and networks. Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize company servers, systems, and hardware
• Manage LAN, WAN, VPNs, and other network components
• Provide timely technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Monitor system performance and network activity using monitoring tools
• Implement and maintain IT security protocols, firewalls, and access controls
• Ensure data protection through regular backups and recovery processes
• Install, configure, and update applications and system software
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues to minimize downtime
• Document IT infrastructure, system configurations, and troubleshooting logs
• Collaborate with IT team members on projects and infrastructure improvements

Qualifications

• Experience:

  3 6 years in system administration or IT support

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux- based systems
• Expertise in networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs
• Hands- on experience with Active Directory, user account management
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex IT issues
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery systems
• Strong problem- solving, communication, and documentation skills
• Awareness of IT security best practices

• Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
• CompTIA Network+ or Security+
• Linux certifications (RHCSA or equivalent)
