SQL Server Database Administrator

As a SQL Server Database Administrator, you will be responsible for various tasks related to database management in MS SQL Server environments. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or MCA and a minimum of 5 years of experience in database development and support, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of database servers for Production, UAT, Staging, and Development environments. Your key responsibilities will include writing SQL queries, Stored Procedures, and optimizing query performance using tools like Performance Monitor and SQL Profiler. You will also be involved in tasks such as backups, restores, recovery models, shrink operations, and database mirroring. Additionally, you will handle tasks related to database creation, user management, permissions, and issue resolution related to locks. Experience in index management, table partitioning, and SQL Server tools for Performance Optimization and Data Migration will be essential for this role. Moreover, your expertise in managing databases with large volumes of highly secured and sensitive data will be crucial. Knowledge of supporting tools like Jira/Service Now will be advantageous for this position. Familiarity with Postgres or Oracle will be considered an additional qualification.
