Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability and optimization of the MSSQL 2016, 2017, 2019 in Hosted and IaaS SQL VM in Azure. Experience with AzureSQL and Managed Instance databases in Azure.
  • Make sure to follow technical standards and operational procedures to meet database performance, High Availability, replication, scalability, and security requirements in both hosted and cloud environments.
  • The individual will need hands-on experience in design and trouble shooting real-time MSSQL related issues.
  • Monitor performance on application databases, queries and suggest/apply continuous tuning.
  •  The responsibilities include working closely with application teams and other Stakeholders in identifying issues related to MSSQL. 
  • Must have experience in tuning of database instances. 
  • Responsible for coming up with standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security, and performance.
  •  The DBA will perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to.
