Software Tester

As a Software Tester with at least 1 year of experience, your role will involve collaborating with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and tracking bugs, and conducting various types of testing across different platforms. Additionally, you will be involved in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts, preparation of test reports, and participation in Agile/Scrum development cycles. Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute test cases to ensure software quality and performance. - Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Collaborate with the development team to understand product features and technical implementations. - Perform functional, regression, system, and usability testing across various platforms (web, mobile, desktop). - Develop and maintain automated test scripts for continuous testing (using tools like Selenium, Cypress, etc.). - Ensure compliance with established software testing standards. - Prepare and present test reports summarizing test results, defects, and recommendations. - Work in Agile/Scrum development cycles, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Test APIs using tools like Postman to validate backend services. - Review user stories and specifications to create detailed test plans. - Identify process improvements and propose solutions for enhancing testing efficiency. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Software Tester or similar role. - Familiarity with various testing methodologies (Manual, Automated, Load, Performance, etc.). - Proficiency in using automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). - Understanding of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus. - Experience with Agile and DevOps practices. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - Excellent problem-solving abilities. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
