Software Tester

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester with strong skills in Manual Testing, API Testing, Postman, JIRA, and basic Automation Testing. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to collaborate effectively with development and project management teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing to identify bugs, usability issues, and inconsistencies.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate request/response functionality.
• Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to understand requirements and test objectives.
• Participate in project management activities such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Assist in creating and maintaining automation test scripts where applicable.
• Prepare detailed test reports and documentation for internal and client review.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Must have upto 02 years of experience in software testing.
• Strong knowledge of manual & automation testing both methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with API Testing and tools like Postman.
• Experience using JIRA for issue tracking and project coordination.
• Good understanding of Automation Testing tools (e.g., Selenium, or similar).
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience in database testing (SQL).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git).
