Summary:The SAP BW/4HANA Basis Consultant is responsible for administration and support of SAP BW/4HANA platform, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems. This role collaborates closely with BW Consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to enable scalable and secure data solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:- Demonstrate a solid foundation in SAP BASIS fundamentals, showcasing strong technical and analytical skills.- Have hands-on experience in at least one to two SAP system upgrades/conversions or one to two implementations. Upgrade scope includes SAP release upgrades in the SAP Analytics Technology Stack such as SAP BW/4HANA, Datasphere, SAC, and BDC(Optional). Conversion scope includes SAP BW/4HANA conversions, BW/4HANA Transfer Cockpit installations, application of relevant SAP Notes, and support package upgrades. Implementation scope includes installation and setup of SAP HANA databases and applications in BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAC- Display proven experience in SAP system migrations using methods such as Backup/Restore or Export/Import. Exposure to HANA System Replication (HSR) is a significant advantage. Involvement in large-scale end-to-end implementations or cloud migration projects of SAP applications is essential, including HANA database migrations, OS/DB migrations, BW/4HANA conversions, and Fiori Cockpit enablement.- Demonstrate the ability to design robust SAP BW/4HANA system landscapes. Experience in developing implementation or migration strategies, including detailed planning and execution roadmaps, is highly desirable.- Support and mentor team members in developing and implementing effective technical solutions across implementations, upgrades, and migrations. Show initiative, ownership, and the ability to drive results independently, while progressively taking on increased responsibilities.- Possess understanding of SAP application security, Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies, infrastructure security, high availability, and disaster recovery mechanisms. Familiarity with modern SAP technologies and tools, including:- BW/4HANA- SAP Datasphere- SAP BDC( Business Data Cloud)- SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)- SDI (Smart Data Integration)- S/4HANAProfessional & Technical Experience:-Good working knowledge of databases like HANA, Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc.-Experience in working with SAP Applications viz. SAP BW/4HANA,S/4HANA , SAP Fiori, SAP ERP, SAP Solution Manager, SAP GRC, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP NetWeaver etc.(Combinations of these)-Experience in Technical setup of BTP services-Familiarity with data warehousing, BW/4HANA Conversions(must have), SAP Datasphere and cloud platforms (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure)-Technical skills in SQL, Database (SQL) knowledge, Architecting, Advisory- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain credible relationships with both clients and peers.- Committed to continuous professional development and staying current with emerging SAP products, tools, and methodologies.- Quick learner with the ability to absorb new concepts and technologies and apply them effectively in dynamic environments.- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.- A 15 years full time education is required.Additional Information:- This position is based at our Bengaluru office. Qualification
