Site Reliability Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Alert Handling

• Monitor infrastructure, applications, and services using observability tools

(e.g., LogicMonitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

• Acknowledge, triage, and resolve Level 1 incidents as per defined SOPs.

• Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 SREs or application support teams.

Incident Management & Support

• Provide 24x7 support through participation in shift rotations.

• Log incidents in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and ensure timely

updates.

• Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) preparation for recurring issues.

Operational Tasks & Toil Reduction

• Execute standard operational runbooks and automation scripts.

• Identify repetitive tasks and suggest improvements to reduce manual toil.

• Maintain knowledge base articles and SOP documentation.

Collaboration

• Work closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams.

• Support change management by validating monitoring configurations and

deployments

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows system administration

• Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/S)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus

• Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (LogicMonitor, Datadog, Grafana,

Prometheus, or equivalent)

• Knowledge of ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, etc.)

• Scripting familiarity (Shell, Python, or PowerShell) preferred

• Exposure to SRE/DevOps practices such as incident management, observability,

automation
