Shopify Developer

Minimum of 4+ years of experience, preferably in the eCommerce domain and predominantly should have worked on Shopify.

Perform full-stack web application development with a variety of languages including, but not limited to Javascript/ TypeScript/React.

Proven skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, as well as a thorough grasp of the DOM.

Previous experience working with a custom theme and/or the Storefront API.

Working knowledge of Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating.

Previous experience implementing/debugging third-party Shopify apps.

Prefer someone with experience in building unique solutions or custom apps in Shopify.

In-depth knowledge and expertise with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and current JavaScript frameworks.

Should have good integration knowledge experience with PBCs like Avalara (tax), Braintree (payments), ESW (pricing), Yotpo (ratings & review), Middleware systems for data transfer and downstream processing etc.

Working knowledge of Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields.

Prefer someone with knowledge on one of the cloud provider services among AWS/Azure/GCP.

A solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and able to express that understanding in code.

Familiarity with at least one full stack or backend framework like Rails (current stack), Django, Spring, or similar.

Familiarity with at least one JavaScript framework like React (current stack), Vue, Angular, or similar.

An understanding of agile, lean, and DevOps principles; testing and CI/CD; observability. A love for clean, elegant code.

Experience working with streaming media or wellness verticals.

Experience with four or more aspects of our tech stack (Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Javascript/TypeScript, Postgres, Arango, Elasticsearch, Redis, Heroku, AWS, New Relic, Docker, Kubernetes, Stripe APIs).

Good to Have Skills:

Experience with any CSP architecture and implementation, including deployment and scaling.

Experience with Continuous Integration Delivery models such as DevOps, including Git, CI/CD pipelines and IaC.

Hands on experience in Cloud Services, DevOps, Docker images, Containers, Kubernetes, distributed cache (Redis), distributed APM solutions.
