Role Overview

mid-level Server Administrator

This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to monitoring and maintenance, and the ability to assist end users during emergencies with clear and calm communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain

  Windows Server 2019/2022

  environments, including

  RDS

  and

  Hyper-V

• Manage OVH dedicated servers

  , applying updates, patching, and security hardening
• Oversee

  Microsoft 365 administration

  (users, licences, policies, and security)
• Configure and maintain

  networking components

  such as firewalls, VPNs, and DNS
• Monitor infrastructure using

  Site24x7

  or equivalent tools, responding promptly to alerts
• Implement and maintain

  security measures

  (MFA/Duo, backups, compliance)
• Provide

  incident response and technical support

  for server and network issues
• Assist end users during emergencies with technical issues
• Document system configurations, processes, and security standards

Requirements

• 35 years of

  hands-on server administration experience

• Proficiency with Windows Server 2019/2022

  ,

  Hyper-V

  ,

  RDS

  , and

  Microsoft 365

• Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, DNS

  , and

  security best practices

• Experience with Duo MFA

  ,

  Site24x7

  , and

  OVH

  or similar hosting providers
• Excellent

  troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills

  , especially when handling end-user interactions
• Comfortable working

  remotely and independently
