Technical Program Manager (TPM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Ownership

  : Own the end-to-end delivery of complex backend programs from concept through execution and deployment.

• Technical Leadership

  : Partner closely with backend development teams to understand technical dependencies, provide architectural guidance, and ensure design meets business goals.

• Planning & Execution

  : Define project scopes, timelines, and resource plans. Drive sprint planning, prioritization, and risk management.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

  : Act as the main point of contact between engineering, product, QA, and business stakeholders. Ensure seamless communication across teams.

• Agile Management

  : Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.

• Issue Resolution

  : Proactively identify risks, track project milestones, and resolve bottlenecks or conflicts quickly.

• Metrics & Reporting

  : Track and report KPIs to leadership, including velocity, burn-down charts, and delivery health.

• Continuous Improvement

  : Drive process improvements in engineering execution and program delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience

  in software development and/or technical program management in high-tech environments.
• Strong

  Java backend development experience

  , with hands-on coding or deep architectural understanding.
• Proven track record of managing complex technical programs in Agile/Lean environments.
• Solid understanding of

  microservices architecture

  , REST APIs, backend performance optimization, and system scalability.
• Experience with modern DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field (master's degree a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architecture (Kafka), or database optimization (SQL/NoSQL).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certifications.
• Prior experience as a backend developer transitioning into program management is a strong plus.
