Senior .Net Developer

This role profile is a blend of both the job description and person specification and clearly demonstrates the relationship between specific tasks and personal attributes. 1. Software Design and Architecture

Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable .NET applications.

Lead the architecture of new features or applications using .NET Core/.NET 5+.

2. Development and Implementation

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, and related technologies.

Lead complex coding tasks and ensure development aligns with business goals.

Review and optimize application performance.

3. Code Review and Mentorship

Perform code reviews to maintain code quality and mentor junior/mid-level developers.

Promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.

Provide technical guidance and training when needed.

4. Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with project managers, QA teams, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Participate in sprint planning, standups, and other Agile ceremonies.

5. Maintenance and Support

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.

Manage production issues and perform root cause analysis.

Ensure application uptime, scalability, and reliability.

6. DevOps and CI/CD

Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

Participate in deployment strategies and automation.

7. Database Design and Management

Design and manage SQL Server or other RDBMS schemas.

Optimize database queries and work with ORMs like Entity Framework Core.

8. Security and Compliance

Ensure software complies with security standards and data privacy regulations.

Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., IdentityServer, JWT).

9. Research and Innovation

Stay up to date with latest .NET technologies and frameworks.

Suggest and implement improvements in technology and process.
