Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS. Your proactive approach and strong technical skills will be essential in driving DevOps practices across the organization while collaborating closely with development, security, and operations teams. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining highly available cloud infrastructure using various AWS services. You will be tasked with implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and deployment, working alongside software engineers to ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and high-performing. Managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar will be a key aspect of your role, as well as optimizing system performance, monitoring production environments, and ensuring system security and compliance. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining system and application monitoring, alerting, and logging using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack. Your expertise in managing containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS preferred) will be crucial. Conducting regular security assessments and audits, mentoring junior team members, and continuously evaluating and recommending new tools and best practices to enhance infrastructure and deployment processes are also part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have at least 5 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS. Deep understanding of AWS core services, expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline are required. Proficiency in scripting languages, solid networking concepts understanding, and experience with security best practices are also essential. Familiarity with monitoring and logging frameworks, troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies are highly valued. Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda functions, exposure to GitOps practices and tools like ArgoCD or Flux, experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, and knowledge of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.,
