Senior Data Modeler

Financial District, Hyderabad or Navalur, Chennai

Role Overview

Data Modeler

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage
data models
for normalized data warehouses and dimensional consumption layers using
ER/Studio
.
Translate
business requirements
into logical and physical data models.
Analyze source databases to identify relationships, structures, and integration points.
Design
Source-to-Target Data mapping
and transformation logic.
Partner with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to answer questions related to
data lineage, business logic, and transformations
.
Support QA with troubleshooting and diagnosing
data inconsistencies
across the BI platform.
Ensure compliance with organizational
data governance, software policies, and best practices
.

Basic Qualifications

Strong experience in
data modeling, SQL, and data analysis
.
Hands-on experience with
Oracle databases
and normalization principles.
Familiarity with
data warehouse architectures, ETL principles, and BI semantic modeling
.
Proficiency with
data modeling tools
(preferably
ER/Studio
).
Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts in
non-technical language
.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a
collaborative team environment
.
Excellent
attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
.
Experience with BI tools like
MicroStrategy
and
Business Objects
is a plus.
