In your role, you will be responsible for creating and managing users, roles, and databases within the Teradata environment. This includes granting and revoking permissions, implementing and enforcing security policies, managing user access, and safeguarding sensitive data. You will also monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and system configuration to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, you will implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data from loss or corruption. Utilizing Teradata utilities like BTEQ, FastLoad, and TPump for data loading, unloading, and other administrative tasks will be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should have 4-12 years of experience in Teradata DBA, with proficiency in SQL and scripting/Python. Familiarity with Datastage, Gitlab/Github, and Agile Methodologies is preferred. Your tasks will include incident handling requiring DBA follow-up, non-automated access requests, monitoring, workload tuning, SQL optimization, and system improvement plans. Additionally, you will be involved in the modernization from VantageCloud Enterprise to VantageCloud Lake. Being available for 24/7 OnCall duty and working five days from the ODC in Hinjewadi-Pune is mandatory.
