System Design & Engineering Design detailed layouts for Ground-Mount, Rooftop PV, and BESS systems. Perform DC/AC calculations, equipment sizing, and structural detailing. Create engineering drawings including layouts, schematics, and sectional views. 2. Electrical Analysis & Optimization Conduct string sizing, SCADA architecture, cable routing, and simulations. Use tools like PVsyst and HelioScope for yield modelling and system performance. Perform studies on grounding, protection, and system efficiency. 3. Technical Evaluation & Planning Analyse site-specific data, shadow analysis, tilt optimization, and LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy). Conduct due diligence for new and existing solar projects. 4. Documentation & Support Prepare BOMs, technical specifications, and RFQs. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams across proposal, construction, and commissioning phases. 5. Compliance & Innovation Ensure compliance with NEC, MNRE, IEC, and other relevant standards. Stay current with solar technology advancements and design best practices. Who We're Looking For Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. 5-8 years experience in solar PV system design (both Rooftop & Ground-Mount). Expertise in PVsyst, AutoCAD, HelioScope, and SketchUp. Familiarity with MNRE/IEC codes and solar project standards. Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills. As a Senior Electrical Engineer within our team, you will be responsible for preparing proposals and developing scopes, which includes conceptual designs and execution plans. You will play a lead technical role in P&C design projects ranging from 11kV up to 400kV, and you may also act as the senior Engineer on project teams when necessary. Your primary tasks will involve generating engineering cost and man-hour estimates, as well as schedules. You will be expected to produce detailed electricity substation P&C design packages that comply with required client and technical standards (IEC/IEEE etc.). This includes designing protection and control systems, such as Relay one-line diagrams, schematics diagrams, wiring diagrams, front view diagrams, SCADA architecture, signal lists, and cable schedules. You should also be capable of updating equipment drawings based on the scheme for Rind bus, one and a half breaker, and two bus systems. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing calculations and reports for engineering studies, such as voltage drop analysis, AC/DC load studies, and other relevant studies. You will facilitate coordination of design activities across different departments, including Civil/Structural and Physical Engineers. Regular design reviews, virtual meetings, and close collaboration with clients will be part of your routine tasks. As part of the team, you will also coordinate with team members to monitor project schedules and ensure the delivery of high-quality work. Collaboration with the US Energy Engineering Team and WSP US Office is essential for effective project execution. Your role will involve providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, as well as developing and enhancing processes, tools, and potentially implementing new technologies into the design process. Maintaining a Safety by Design approach on all projects is crucial.
