Quality Automation Engineer - Intermediate

As a Quality Engineer at Equifax, you will play a crucial role in both the development and testing of high priority initiatives. Your responsibilities will include creating, maintaining, and executing test plans to verify requirements. You will be expected to deliver QA services such as code quality assessment, testing services, performance engineering, development collaboration, and continuous integration. Your tasks will involve conducting quality control tests to ensure compliance with standards and end user requirements, documenting issues in an issues log, retesting to ensure problem resolution, and creating test files to test program logic and system flow. Additionally, you will be instrumental in identifying, recommending, and implementing changes to enhance the effectiveness of QA strategies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Influence better software design and promote proper engineering practices, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other quality concepts - Develop test strategies, automate tests using frameworks, and write moderately complex code/scripts - Monitor product development and usage for quality assurance - Create necessary test harnesses and infrastructure - Demonstrate understanding of test methodologies, write test plans, create test cases, and debug - Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in a STEM major or equivalent experience - 3-5 years of software testing experience - Ability to create automated tests based on functional and non-functional requirements - Self-starter with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities with minimal supervision - Familiarity with software build management tools like Maven or Gradle, and testing tools like Cucumber and Selenium - Knowledge of software testing, performance, and quality engineering techniques and strategies - Proficiency in testing technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, and Office products - Experience with cloud technologies like GCP, AWS, or Azure - Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred The ability to demonstrate performance of Success Profile skills including attention to detail, automation, collaboration, execution, quality control, quality focus, and risk mitigation will set you apart in this role.,
