QA Engineer

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at our company in Kozhikode, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software meets quality standards and requirements. Your role will involve identifying areas suitable for automation and selecting test cases for automation to improve efficiency. You will be expected to contribute to creating and maintaining the overall test strategy and test plans using tools such as Selenium or similar. Your duties will also include executing automated test scripts, analyzing results to identify defects, and documenting and tracking defects for developers to address. Additionally, you will conduct performance and stress testing to guarantee the stability and responsiveness of applications. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Previous experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automation testing, is required. Proficiency with automated testing tools like Selenium, Pytest, or similar, as well as CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, is essential. A strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) is necessary, along with experience using bug tracking tools like JIRA and Git. You should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and teamwork abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance is crucial. Participation in code reviews and providing feedback from a testing perspective will also be expected.
