Job Description

About Position:

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer having a strong foundation in data quality assurance, DWH & ETL testing experience, good SQL skills, and experience validating reports built on BI platforms like Power BI.

What You'll Do:

ETL Testing: Design, develop, and execute test cases to validate ETL processes, ensuring data extraction, transformation, and loading adhere to business rules and functional specifications.
Data Validation: Verify data integrity and accuracy between source systems, staging areas, and the final Data Warehouse/Data Marts. Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.
SQL: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to perform data analysis and reconciliation checks against large datasets.
Power BI Testing: Validate the underlying data correctness, visualization logic of reports, dashboards, and data models built within Microsoft Power BI.
Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects, working closely with data engineering and development teams to ensure timely resolution.

Expertise You'll Bring:

Experience: 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse (DWH) and ETL testing, at least one year of BI testing.
SQL Expertise: Excellent proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, and analytical functions, for data validation and reconciliation.
DWH Knowledge: Solid theoretical and practical understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and OLAP/OLTP principles.
BI Tool Testing: Proven experience in testing reports, dashboards, and data sources utilizing a major Business Intelligence platform, with specific experience in Power BI testing being essential.
Communication: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
