About the Role

Senior QA Automation + Manual Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Manual Testing

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using

  Playwright

  (UI/API) and

  Karate

  (API/UI).
• Automate functional test cases for both frontend and backend services.
• Execute manual test scenarios for UI, API, integration, and regression cycles.
• Create and maintain Cypress automation scripts for UI and API validations.

API & Performance Testing

• Perform thorough API testing using Karate, Postman, and custom scripts.
• Conduct performance and load tests using

  JMeter

  .
• Validate data using SQL queries and perform backend verification.

Collaboration & Quality Processes

• Work closely with developers, BA, and DevOps teams to ensure continuous quality delivery.
• Participate in sprint activities: grooming, planning, daily stand-up, and retrospectives.
• Maintain clear, concise test artefacts: test plans, test cases, bug reports.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Integrate automated tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Ensure automated execution across environments.

Quality Governance

• Identify gaps, propose improvements, and enforce QA best practices.
• Assist in implementing AI-driven automation where applicable.

Must-Have Skills

• 7+ years of experience in

  manual + automation testing

  .
• Strong hands-on with

  Playwright (JavaScript)

  — UI + API.
• Strong hands-on with

  Karate Framework

  — API + UI automation.
• Cypress (API + UI automation).
• JavaScript expertise (for Playwright & Cypress scripting).
• JMeter for performance testing.
• SQL for basic DB validation.
• CI/CD experience: Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of AI-based testing tools (TestGen AI, autonomous testing, AI-driven test data).
• Experience in test data generation using AI.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
