Role Overview

As a part of our storage QA team, you'll design, develop, and execute end-to-end Python automation frameworks aimed at validating enterprise storage systems—including SAN, NAS, and object storage. You’ll ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity across hardware and software layers, collaborating closely with development and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop & Maintain Automation
: Build scalable, reusable Python scripts and frameworks (pytest, Robot Framework) for functional, integration, and performance testing of storage systems career.luxoft.com+11shine.com+11careers.nutanix.com+11.
Storage Testing
: Validate data integrity, fault tolerance, capacity, and protocol compliance (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, SCSI, NVMe) .
EndtoEnd Validation
: Test hardware/software stack including mount points, backups, storage configurations, firmware, REST API integrations, and custom CLI tools .
Performance Engineering
: Use workload generation tools (e.g. FIO, VDBench) and Python to create high-concurrency and stress scenarios; benchmark IOPS, throughput, latency indeed.com.
CI/CD Integration
: Integrate tests into pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), containerize test modules (Docker), and automate nightly/regression runs career.luxoft.com+6en.wikipedia.org+6jobs.smartrecruiters.com+6.
Debugging & Reporting
: Analyze test failures, log defects, collaborate for fixes, and generate detailed test reports and metrics dashboards.
Collaboration & Best Practices
: Participate in design/code reviews, promote test automation standards, and drive continuous improvement of processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (CS/Engineering) or equivalent.
3+ years
in Python-based test automation, ideally including storage system testing careers.nutanix.com+1indeed.com+1jobs.smartrecruiters.com+9shine.com+9in.indeed.com+9.
Proficiency in
pytest
,
unittest
,
Robot Framework
, or similar.
Tox

Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (shell/python).

Experience with performance tools like

CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Travis CI).
Good communication skills and experience working in agile, collaborative teams.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
Knowledge of firmware or hardware-level debugging (SSD/HDD).
Exposure to cloud/object storage (AWS S3, Azure Blob).
