PROGRAM MANAGER - Pre-Silicon Platform Emulation

THE ROLE:

As Pre-Silicon Platform Emulation Program Manager in Embedded Group, you will have the opportunity to manage end to end ownership of overall Pre-Silicon Emulation programs for all embedded products. By managing both internal and external deliverables, you will work to ensure all embedded new products are delivered on time. THE PERSON:

As a Program Manager you will partner with our cross functional teams to manage customer accounts and their portfolio, understand our customers platforms/solutions. Identify and document product requirements and establish engineering schedules. A successful candidate will have the ability to establish and drive to goals including plan of record, timelines, budget, scope, performance, and quality. A candidate must be self-motivated, must have a passion for working with a diverse team of creative engineers and senior executives, must be able to deftly manage both internal and external dependencies and ensure all embedded products are delivered on time. The candidate must be a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program Planning & Execution:

    • Own strategic planning and execution for Pre-Silicon Emulation programs, ensuring alignment with SoC and platform milestones.
    • Define schedules, manage dependencies, and track deliverables across SoC, Firmware, and BIOS readiness leading up to Silicon Tape Out.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Drive collaboration between Design Emulation (DEMU) and Platform Emulation (PEMU) teams.
    • Interface with SoC design, verification, firmware, and platform teams to ensure emulation models and environments are ready for validation
  • Risk Management & Issue Resolution:

    • Identify and mitigate risks related to emulation readiness, test coverage, and feature enablement.
    • Lead triage and resolution of blocking issues in coordination with architecture, validation, and debug teams.
  • Feature Enablement & Validation Tracking:

    • Influence and summarize pre-silicon verification coverage for features.
    • Drive emulation and/or prototyping for feature validation, ensuring readiness for post-silicon bring-up
  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Provide crisp progress updates to management and stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular convergence meetings to align on feasibility, schedules, and execution next steps
    • Maintain dashboards on status and issues for projects and deliverables in Confluence and use Jira/MS Project to track all the engineering work
  • Assist in developing and implementing project management best practices, tools, templates, and metrics to drive continuous process improvement within engineering

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Technical background in semiconductor industry with 5 years hands on work in Pre-Silicon activities, 5 years of program management experience and an overall industry experience of 15+ years

  • Good understanding of SoC architecture, RTL integration, and platform-level validation functions

  • Familiarity with emulation tools and workflows (e.g., SimNow, hybrid models).

  • Proven project & program management experience in a dynamic and competitive industry

  • Ability to manage complex programs with multiple cross-functional dependencies.

  • Proficiency in planning tools (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Project) and reporting dashboards

  • Ability to structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings/recommendations to senior management.

  • Ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization

  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines

  • Flexible working schedule to manage global (Asia and North America) program execution teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Engineering degree with 15+ years of industry experience
  • PMP certification is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
