Principal Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Possess good hands-on technical skills in Java full stack development using Spring Boot, REST API development, Database Systems & UI Technologies like ReactJS - Demonstrate profound database knowledge, particularly in Oracle and PostgreSQL, with experience in PL-SQL being a strong advantage - Show expertise in building scalable, distributed applications using cloud technologies such as AWS, microservices architecture, etc. - Lead the design, development, DevOps, and project activities including planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and collaboration with stakeholders to achieve project goals - Ability to solve complex technical problems and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision - Develop associated business cases and plans that are detailed, actionable, and aligned with industry best practices - Stay updated on industry and technology trends - Contribute to organization-wide initiatives and drive change Qualifications Required: - Minimum BE CS or equivalent experience - 16+ years of product development experience using Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, Database Systems & UI Technologies like React - 5+ years of experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc. - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns throughout the software development life cycle - Familiarity with Gen AI and its practical usage is advantageous - Experience collaborating with product and program management teams - Agile project management training and experience is an added advantage - Excellent communication and time management skills - Ability to communicate effectively with other technical teams and senior leadership to gather requirements, describe software features, and technical designs Please note that if you require assistance or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, you can contact hr@opentext.com.
