Opening For Scrum Master with a Product Company

Role & responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Guide the team in applying Agile/Scrum practices effectively and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
• Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a healthy and prioritized Product Backlog and ensure clarity of requirements.
• Track sprint progress, team velocity, burndown charts, and other Agile metrics to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify project risks, impediments, and dependencies; coordinate with stakeholders to remove blockers and ensure timely resolution.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging open communication, collaboration, and feedback within the team.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality project outcomes by monitoring scope, timelines, and overall sprint deliverables.
• Support estimation activities and help the team develop realistic sprint commitments.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, internal teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring proactive updates on progress, risks, and decisions.
• Prepare and publish relevant reports, dashboards, and documentation to keep all stakeholders aligned.
• Facilitate cross-team coordination and ensure inter-team dependencies are tracked and managed efficiently.
• Conduct project reviews, track goals against metrics, and ensure exit criteria are met across stages of the SDLC.
• Mentor team members as needed and collaborate with leadership to support performance feedback and appraisal inputs.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors Degree with strong knowledge of software engineering and Agile delivery practices.
• 8–12 years of industry experience, including substantial experience managing or leading Agile/Scrum teams.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery in Agile environments, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across teams and functions.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive outcomes, protect the Scrum process, and maintain team focus.
• Highly self-motivated, result-oriented individual with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to all levels of stakeholders.
• Must be a team player and an effective leader capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously.

• CSM or other Agile/Scrum certifications are preferred.
