As an Architect in the Event Streaming Stable team, you will serve as a Technical Lead, responsible for shaping the architecture, design, best practices, and frameworks for Event Streaming based on Kafka. You will collaborate closely with the Digital Product Owner and fellow architects and engineers to drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap development. Your role will involve defining the reference architecture, governance model for event streaming platform usage, and best practices, while also establishing integration architecture guardrails connected to event streaming and guidelines for implementation. Key Responsibilities: - Define and drive Event Streaming architecture, establish the reference architecture, best practices, and architectural guidelines. - Establish schema governance and versioning strategy, define Event Streaming schema best practices and develop an effective versioning strategy. - Lead architectural discussions, guide engineers and architects in designing scalable and efficient event streaming-based integration solutions. - Act as an event streaming ambassador, enable business units to effectively leverage event streaming platform by providing guidance and fostering adoption. - Collaborate with segment architects, gather requirements, align with architectural directions, and communicate these effectively to the team. - Support technical roadmap and planning, assist the Digital Product Owner in defining the technical roadmap and delivery plans, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision. - Translate high-level requirements into actionable work items, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, and secure adherence to the North Star architecture and compliance with security directives and policies. Technical Skills: - Strong experience in integration implementation and architecture, hands-on experience in building end-to-end integration solutions using event streaming platform with adherence to defined schema practices, and familiarity with Kafka. - Sound knowledge of event streaming concepts, best practices, schema usages in event streaming solutions, MQTT & MQTT Broker understanding, and IoT based integration solutions. - Proficiency in core Python programming, knowledge around security, isolations, compliance related topics from event streaming platform perspective, and expertise in designing and implementing integration architectures. - High-level understanding of messaging-based solutions, observability framework like OpenTelemetry and observability platform like Splunk, API-led integration architecture, and experience working in Agile environments. The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised Dev Ops and SRE tooling and processes for all the suite of applications for Japan Settlements. You will be tasked with incorporating standardized pipelines and processes across all Japan Settlements Systems (JSS). Additionally, you will work with the central architecture for the continued upgrade on container architecture and pipelines. Your role will involve building out an Observability framework for JSS and collaborating with development teams for each application in JSS to incorporate the data touch points and integrations with observability data fabric and dashboards. You will also be responsible for building a monitoring framework for continuous review and follow-up for adherence to expected CID/CD DevOps and SRE standards. It is essential that you can drive a small team of Dev Ops members to achieve common goals and independently build tools and processes to automate and track process adherence. Furthermore, you will need to take care of applications EVOS, vulnerability, and compliance issues, as well as help manage the infrastructure estate and planning. The ideal candidate should possess 12-18 years of relevant experience in Dev Ops, CI/CD, SRE management of applications, application and infrastructure management. Extensive experience in Dev Ops, CI/CD, and SRE processes, tooling, and expectations in a banking organization is required. You should have the ability to work with development teams to understand tech and infrastructure capability expectations as well as deliver on them. Being able to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate, demonstrate leadership, project management skills, and exhibit clear and concise written and verbal communication consistently are essential qualifications.
