As a Senior Engineer in Design, you are expected to have solid programming experience in C/C++ or any programming language with a focus on Embedded Systems. Your experience should include programming from scratch, utilizing software programming principles, quality coding techniques, and data structures. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of software design, understanding how APIs, libraries, frameworks, and applications are developed. You should have experience in one or more Networking/Connectivity Interfaces/Protocols such as Passive Optical Networks (GPON/XGSPON), Ethernet, PCIe, QSPI, USB, etc. Familiarity with Linux Userspace Frameworks and Applications is essential, along with knowledge of Linux OS techniques like multi-threading, IPC, etc. Any experience in Linux Kernel and Drivers would be considered a plus. In this role, you will be required to debug software in a Linux environment and should be comfortable with debugging heterogeneous software. You should also have experience in tuning and optimizing software for performance, power efficiency, and memory usage. Understanding hardware and software subsystems and having knowledge of interfaces/tools for hardware/software debugging is crucial. Proficiency in Linux build systems such as Yocto, code management tools like bitbucket and git, code review processes, as well as regression and automation tools is preferred. Any experience in GPON/XGSPON/VOLTHA or device bring-up in Linux would be an added advantage. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Software, or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required.
