You will be integrated into the Foundry IP Development team in Bangalore at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. Collaborating closely with various engineering teams worldwide, you will be responsible for developing layout for Standard Cell IPs to facilitate high-quality product designs based on Globalfoundries" advanced process nodes. Your main responsibilities will include: - Designing layout for Standard Cell IPs - Performing layout checks such as LVS, DRC, DFM, EMIR - Reviewing layouts and assisting other layout teams - Preparing design kits from the layout side, along with verification and validation - Providing support for layout automation and scripting - Taking initiatives for productivity improvements and innovation - Signing off and releasing into dedicated IP validation test chips - Handling specification and documentation - Supporting silicon bring up and characterization Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree with over 3 years of experience in semiconductors/Microelectronics/VLSI engineering - Hands-on experience in Standard Cell layout design, particularly in areas like Combinational and Sequential Cells, Power Management Kit cells, High-Density Libraries, and custom cell designs - Proficiency in EDA tools from Synopsis, Mentor, and Cadence - Understanding of fabrication steps and flow - Experience in Testchip integration and analysis will be beneficial Preferred qualifications include: - Good understanding of CMOS technology - Knowledge of standard cell layout flows - Programming experience for design flow automation tasks - Ability to work in dynamic interdisciplinary environments - Knowledge of 45/32/28nm and below technology nodes - Flexibility, motivation, and a team-oriented working style - Strong communication skills in English GLOBALFOUNDRIES is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
