Barco is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives for the Control Rooms Business across our APAC region. As Barco transitions from an A/V-driven control room approach to an IT- and OT-driven model with a wider ecosystem of partners and markets, this role requires familiarity and experience working with both networking and process control companies such as Extreme Networks, Honeywell, Emerson, and more, to drive new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue expansion. This position will require close collaboration with Barcos business and technical leaders across the organization, as well as strategic consultants, channel partners and top customers, ensuring alignment between sales, product, and technology teams to successfully execute the companys transformation strategy. Additionally, the role will be responsible for contributing to P&L modeling and financial strategy, helping shape a sustainable business plan that supports long-term growth. Key Responsibilities Business Development and Partnerships: Develop strategic alliances, with a particular emphasis on IT/OT and DCS manufacturers, to integrate business and technical resources that strengthen Barcos product ecosystem and value proposition. Collaborate with strategic consultants, technology partners, and Barcos internal leaders to ensure effective execution of business growth initiatives. Build a framework for scaling existing and new alliance partners. Research and develop ancillary IT technology leaders as ecosystem and alliance partners. Provide secondary support for the overall ecosystem and alliance partner program within Barco Control Rooms as part of the Strategic Business Development team. Sales Collaboration and Execution: Work closely with regional sales teams to provide expertise in complex solution selling, ensuring strong deal progression and closure rates. Serve as their SME around the ecosystem and alliance partner program. Support C-level engagements with enterprise customers to articulate the value of Barcos IP network-based visualization, collaboration, and AI-driven control room solutions. Establish and track KPIs to measure business development success, refining strategies as needed. Industry Thought Leadership & Internal Collaboration: Represent Barco at industry events, trade shows, and customer forums, positioning the company as a thought leader in mission critical environments. Stay ahead of market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies, providing insights to the global sales leadership team. Work cross-functionally with Barcos business and technical teams, ensuring alignment between sales, product base, innovation, and financial objectives. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of business development, sales, or strategic partnerships experience within the control room, AV/IT, networking, specific vertical industries mentioned, and/or mission critical spaces. Proven track record in enterprise solution sales, with experience engaging global customers and government agencies. General business knowledge of IT/OT networking, with a strong preference for experience in Extreme Networks solutions. Ability to articulate the business value of mesh networking and SDWAN technologies, aligning them with customer needs in mission-critical environments. Experience working with channel sales models, VARs, and Strategic Integrators, primarily in India. Ability to collaborate with strategic consultants, technology partners, and Barcos internal leadership to drive innovation and sales growth. This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in various technologies related to wireless and satellite networks, fixed networks, enterprise networks, connected devices (IOT and device engineering), connected applications (5G/ edge, B2X apps), and Telco Cloud, Automation, and Edge Compute platforms. The key responsibilities include designing and integrating Bluetooth chipsets into consumer electronics like smartphones, tablets, and office automation devices. It also involves developing and validating Bluetooth firmware, drivers, and protocol stacks (Classic & BLE) and collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. Conducting RF testing, signal integrity analysis, and interference mitigation, optimizing Bluetooth performance for power efficiency, range, and data throughput, ensuring compliance with Bluetooth SIG standards and certification requirements, troubleshooting connectivity issues across platforms, and providing root cause analysis are also part of the role. Required skills for this position include a strong understanding of Bluetooth protocols (BR/EDR, BLE, LE Audio), experience with Bluetooth chipset integration, firmware development, and driver customization, proficiency in C programming, embedded systems, and Linux kernel modules, familiarity with RF design, antenna tuning, and signal processing, and knowledge of personal area networks (PAN) and wireless coexistence strategies. Preferred skills include experience with smartphone platforms, IoT devices, or wearables, exposure to Bluetooth 5.x, LE Audio, and Mesh networking, and proficiency in using tools like Bluetooth protocol analyzers, RF test equipment, JTAG, and Oscilloscopes. Understanding UEFI, connectivity stacks, and low-level hardware debugging is also desirable. Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, along with 5-10 years of experience in Bluetooth technology, embedded systems, or wireless communication. Soft skills such as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and documentation skills, the ability to work in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments, and a passion for innovation in wireless and mobile technologies are also essential for this position.,
