Mainframe Developer

Greetings,

TCS is looking for Mainframe Developer.

Experience: 4 - 9 years Only

Education: Minimum 15 years of full time education (10th, 12th and Graduation)

Location: Bangalore

Must-Have

• Strong command over COBOL programming and JCL scripting for batch job execution and system integration.
• Experience with mainframe tools like ISPF, TSO, and File-AID.
• Skilled in working with DB2, VSAM, and writing complex SQL queries for data processing and analysis.
• Hands-on experience in CICS for online transaction processing.
• Proficient in using debugging tools like Xpediter or InterTest to identify and fix issues in legacy codebases.
• Experience in maintaining and enhancing legacy systems in production environments.

Good-to-Have

• Ability to write or optimize performance-critical routines using IBM High-Level Assembler.
• Familiarity with integrating mainframe systems into DevOps pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git
• Understanding of how mainframe systems integrate with other platforms (e.g., APIs, middleware).
• Business domain knowledge in insurance adds significant value.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and code review practices.
