Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications, headless backend systems, and APIs supporting Android & iOS applications using Laravel and PHP
Build and manage RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to deliver seamless user experiences
Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices
Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
Manage and optimise databases and handle migrations using Eloquent ORM
Participate in project planning, sprint meetings, and code reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
3+ years of professional experience with Laravel and PHP
Strong understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and Eloquent ORM
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases
Solid understanding of RESTful API design and JSON
Experience using Git and version control tools

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular
Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/DigitalOcean)
Knowledge of unit testing (PHPUnit)
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
