Junior Software Tester

About the Role:

We are looking for a Software Tester to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, a passion for delivering error-free products, and a good understanding of software testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
• Execute manual and automated test cases to ensure product quality.
• Identify, record, and track bugs using standard tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Bugzilla).
• Perform regression testing and verify fixes.
• Collaborate closely with developers and project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Prepare test reports and documentation.
• Ensure applications meet functional and design specifications before deployment.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance testing efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in software testing (manual or automation).
• Hands-on experience with test management tools and bug-tracking systems.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Cypress) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Basic knowledge of databases and writing SQL queries.
• Understanding of API testing.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
