Job Description

Position Purpose

The candidate will have the opportunity to work within WMIS as a Java Senior Developer closely with various teams (Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security and Integration) to design & develop solutions aligned with our overall strategy.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Develop Java EE applications.
Write well-designed, efficient code
Review the design, code unit test results.
Diligent focus on code quality and standards.
Zeal to learn, adapt and implement latest frameworks.
Willingness to learn Vendor product APIs and provide fixes for the Custom Code.
Be mindful about organizational ethics and respect data privacy.
High level of commitment, willingness to work ok topics and suggest innovative approaches.
Understand and respect cultural diversity.
Practical / systematic reasoning

Contributing Responsibilities

Contribute to all phases of development life cycle

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Mandatory

- Java 8 and above
- Spring MVC, spring boot & spring batch
- Relational Database systems Oracle, PostgreSQL
- UI framework like Angular 17
- Experience designing, building and testing Java EE applications
- Experience in developing APIs and Swagger specification
- Maintain and develop unit tests using testing Frameworks like JUNIT
- Practical experience with Maven, Jenkins, Git, Serena/Ansible, Sonar etc
- Good Written and oral communication skills
- IDEs like Eclipse/Intellij
- Good delegation and time management skills
- Problem-solving abilities

Good to have

Experience in Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, Microservices

Specific Qualifications (if required)

Bachelors Degree in computer science or computer engineering
8 to 11 years of hands-on experience as Java Developer
