Java Backend Developer

As a Senior Java Developer at UST, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend solutions and services using microservices architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and deploying backend applications using Java (J2EE), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. - Building and maintaining RESTful APIs to support front-end services and integrate third-party APIs as needed. - Optimizing application performance, scalability, and security. - Participating in architecture design discussions and contributing to key technical decisions. - Writing efficient, reusable, and well-documented code. - Collaborating with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments. - Debugging and resolving production issues to ensure smooth operations. - Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and driving continuous improvements. Mandatory Skills: - 5+ years of experience in Java (J2EE) development. - Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring framework components. - Experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful API development. - Proficient in working with relational databases like MySQL or non-relational databases like MongoDB. - Hands-on experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and version control (Git). - Experience with containerization tools like Docker. Good to have Skills: - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Familiarity with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools. - Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI. Soft Skills: - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast-paced environments. - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Educational Qualification: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
