Internal Audit Associate

Role Purpose:

To assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the organization's business processes, internal controls, and risk management, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance as NxtWave scales.

About the Role:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Audit Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our audit function, focusing on a deep, granular understanding of business processes. You'll work closely with various teams to document processes, identify risks, test controls, and recommend actionable improvements. This role is a perfect fit for someone with a bias for execution and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Documentation:

  Meticulously map and document end-to-end business processes across different functions (e.g., student success, placements, sales) to the most fundamental level.

• Risk Identification:

  Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify operational, compliance, and strategic risks associated with business processes.

• Control Testing:

  Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of existing controls.

• Lapse Tracking & Remediation:

  Document audit findings, track lapses, and follow up with business teams to ensure timely remediation and closure of identified issues.

• Reporting:

  Assist in drafting clear and concise audit reports that communicate findings and recommendations to the Internal Audit Manager and business stakeholders.

• Data Analysis:

  Use data and technology to perform audit testing, identify trends, and analyze control performance.

What We're Looking For:

• 1-3 years of experience in internal audit, business operations, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
• An ability to break down a complex process into its most basic, step-by-step components.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting processes and reporting findings.
• A tech & AI-driven mindset with an inclination to use data and automation for process analysis and assurance.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Other Work Profile

Working Days: 6 (Sunday Off)

Work Mode: Work-from-Office, Hyderabad

Compensation: As per Market Standards
