Job Description

ETL Developer


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop ETL workflows using

    Informatica IICS

    and

    PowerCenter

  • Implement

    performance tuning

    strategies for ETL processes
  • Design and develop ETLs for

    fact and dimension tables

    using

    SCD Type-II

  • Write and optimize

    SQL queries

    for Oracle, DB2, Teradata
  • Prepare

    ETL specification documents

    and collaborate with testers and PMO
  • Work with

    scheduling tools

    like ESP, Control-M, Autosys
  • Participate in discussions with business users and IT stakeholders
  • Provide support for

    ODS/EDW environments

    and troubleshoot issues


Essential Technical Skills:


  • Strong

    ETL background

    , preferably with

    IICS experience

  • Proficient in

    SQL

    and database concepts
  • Knowledge of

    Informatica transformations

    and

    performance tuning

  • Experience with

    Oracle

    ,

    DB2

    ,

    Teradata

  • Familiarity with

    UNIX shell scripting

    and utilities
  • Exposure to

    Business Objects

    ,

    Tableau

    (preferred)
  • Understanding of

    data warehousing concepts

    and SDLC
