Infor ERP Implementation Consultant

We are seeking an experienced external Infor ERP Consultant to join our ongoing Infor ERP implementation project. This role will support our internal Project Manager by providing expert guidance on Infor best practices (specific experience with Infor M3, LN, or CloudSuite preferred), facilitating effective collaboration with our implementation partner (Godrej Industries), and ensuring the project delivers maximum business value while staying on scope, timeline, and budget.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Infor professional with a client-side or independent consulting background who excels at bridging the gap between internal teams and external implementation partners. This is a strategic advisory role focused on governance, risk mitigation, and knowledge transfer rather than day-to-day hands-on configuration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary Infor subject matter expert advising the internal Project Manager and steering committee on Infor functionality, industry best practices, and common implementation pitfalls.
• Review and challenge deliverables from Godrej (blueprints, configurations, customizations, test scripts, training materials) to ensure alignment with our business requirements and Infor standard capabilities.
• Facilitate requirement gathering workshops, gap analysis, and fit-to-standard discussions to minimize unnecessary customizations.
• Work in conjunction with the PJ Valves Project Manager, the departmental Functional Owners Godrej to map and document current (as-is) business processes across multiple locations and define standardized (to-be) processes aligned with best practices. Understand the business processes both inside and outside of Infor to make sure that PJ Valves is optimizing our business processes and value.
• Provide independent oversight of project milestones, timelines, risks, and issues; escalate concerns early and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support change management and organizational readiness by identifying training needs, process changes, and adoption barriers.
• Assist in data migration strategy, cutover planning, and go-live/hypercare preparation.
• Conduct regular health checks on project progress and Godrej performance; prepare objective status reports for leadership.
• Mentor internal team members on Infor processes and build long-term Infor competency within the organization.
• Participate in steering committee meetings, vendor governance sessions, and key decision-making forums. Work with the Executive Committee and Functional Owners to define and implement high quality and useful management and line-level reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Infor ERP systems (M3, LN, SyteLine/CSI, or CloudSuite strongly preferred).
• Proven track record on at least 2 full-life-cycle Infor implementations, ideally in a client-side, independent consulting, or client advocate capacity.
• Deep functional knowledge in core modules relevant to our business (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, Procurement please specify industry focus if applicable).
• Experience working with Infor implementation partners (Godrej or similar) and holding them accountable to scope, quality, and timelines.
• Strong understanding of project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Infor-specific frameworks such as Infor Implementation Accelerator).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) and change management experience are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites/meetings as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Infor certifications (functional or technical).
• Experience in post-go-live optimization and support.
• Knowledgeable in AI to identify and suggest areas within our processes where AI can help the business.
• Familiarity with integration tools (ION, M3 Adaptations/MAK, APIs) and reporting (Infor OS, Ming.le, BI tools).
• Industry-specific expertise matching our sector (manufacturing, distribution, etc.).
