As a Senior Backend Engineer at our company, you will leverage your 6 to 10 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Functional Java and SpringBoot. You will architect and implement real-time data pipelines and event-driven systems using Apache Kafka. Additionally, you will integrate Redis for performance-optimized caching and session management. Your role will involve building and deploying containerized services using Docker on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and collaborating with data science and product teams to incorporate pre-trained Large Language Models (LLMs) into backend workflows. Key responsibilities include participating in system architecture discussions, performance tuning, and design reviews. You will ensure test coverage and continuous delivery through robust CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot complex issues in distributed environments to resolve production incidents swiftly. To excel in this role, you should possess 6-10 years of backend engineering experience and demonstrate strong proficiency in Java, with expertise in SpringBoot and microservice architecture. Deep hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for stream processing and event-driven design, as well as solid knowledge of Redis for caching and message brokering, will be essential. Practical experience with GCP services like Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, and Storage is also required. Preferred qualifications include GCP certification or prior experience deploying production-grade systems on GCP, exposure to AI/ML integration workflows, and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with a DevOps mindset.
