Frontend Engineer (Mobile App)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS using React Native (or Flutter).
• Collaborate closely with backend, design, and product teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Implement pixel-perfect UI based on Figma/UX designs, ensuring responsiveness and accessibility.
• Optimize mobile app performance, animations, and loading times for smooth user experience.
• Integrate APIs and handle state management (Redux, MobX, Recoil, or similar).
• Work with authentication, push notifications, in-app messaging, and analytics SDKs.
• Identify and fix bugs, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and agile sprint cycles.
• Contribute to reusable component libraries and maintain coding standards.
• Stay updated with the latest mobile frameworks, design trends, and performance best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience building mobile applications (React Native preferred; Flutter optional).
• Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, state management, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React ecosystem.
• Experience with version control (Git), debugging tools, and app deployment processes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and collaboration tools (Jira/ClickUp/Linear).
• Passion for clean UI, accessibility, and delightful user interactions.

Tooling Proficiency (Must/Strongly Preferred)

• Frameworks:

  React Native (must), Flutter (nice to have)

• Languages:

  JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript

• State Management:

  Redux, MobX, Recoil, Zustand

• Testing:

  Jest, Detox, React Native Testing Library

• CI/CD:

  GitHub Actions, Fastlane, App Center (nice to have)

• Analytics/Crash Reporting:

  Firebase, Sentry, Mixpanel

• Design Handoff:

  Figma, Zeplin

• Version Control:

  Git (GitHub/GitLab)

Bonus Points

• Experience integrating AI-driven features or chat interfaces in mobile apps.
• Familiarity with mobile performance profiling, animations (Reanimated, Lottie).
• Knowledge of app store submission, OTA updates (CodePush), and mobile security best practices.
• Understanding of A/B testing, telemetry, and user analytics in mobile apps.
• Prior experience in EdTech or SaaS environments.
