As a senior CAD/EDA Engineer at MaxLinear, Bangalore, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on Digital Flows/Methodologies architecture and development in an energetic EDA team. Your primary responsibility will be to enable EDA flows and ensure that the tools are qualified on cutting-edge IPs before rolling them out to the wider community. You will be tasked with developing, maintaining, debugging, and testing SOC Design Methodologies using Commercial EDA tools. Additionally, you will define and create flows/scripts to assist design teams in executing Front-End (RTL) to Back-End (GDS) flows seamlessly. Taking ownership, leading projects, and delivering results while guiding other engineers will be a key part of your role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for verifying CAD flows to ensure they are generating correct results (flow signoff) and setting up tool regressions. Collaboration with Engineering IT and Database Management teams to establish flows that align well with the Engineering Compute Infrastructure in MaxLinear Datacenters will also be part of your responsibilities. You will drive consensus across business units on tool & design methodology and work closely with technology and design teams to resolve signoff criteria. Supporting design engineers on flow setup and addressing their queries will also be a crucial aspect of your role. Qualifications: - MS/BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8-14 years of demonstrated experience in CAD or EDA tools flows architecture, development, and support. - Demonstrated experience with various EDA software, flows, and architectures & driving EDA vendors to improve tools. - Proficient skills with PD related tools such as Genus, Innovus, Tempus, Calibre, FC, PT, DC, or equivalent. - Strong scripting abilities in Python, Perl, and tcl; UNIX knowledge and experience with data-management software. - Experience in taking ownership, leading projects, and guiding other engineers. - Ability to document design methodologies & provide training on tools and workflows to design teams. - Experience with Front-end Digital Design, PD, Digital Verification methodologies. - Strong skills in debugging and analyzing techniques; ability to work independently and explore new domains. - Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills; success in a collaborative team environment.
