Role & responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET 7/8. Build robust ASP.NET Core Web APIs following modern architectural principles. Implement integration solutions for internal systems and third-party services (REST, SOAP, etc.). Configure and manage API gateways (Azure API Management or AWS API Gateway). Develop event-driven connectors using ASP.NET Core lightweight services or Azure Functions. Integrate and manage message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus. Implement Redis caching for performance optimization. Write unit and integration tests using xUnit, and perform contract testing with Pact. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API data models and mapping. Troubleshoot and debug complex integration issues in high-volume transaction environments. Follow OOP and software design principles (SOLID, design patterns) to ensure code maintainability and scalability.

Preferred candidate profile

Languages: C# (.NET 7/8) Frameworks: ASP.NET Core, Web API API Gateway: Azure API Management / AWS API Gateway Messaging Systems: Kafka / RabbitMQ / Azure Service Bus Caching: Redis Testing Tools: xUnit, Pact (for contract testing) PUBLIC Cloud Platforms: Azure or AWS (preferred) Strong understanding of OOP, software design patterns, and best engineering practices. Financial Domain Knowledge (Required) Familiarity with financial data formats and standards: ISO 20022 (preferred for modern payment rails) SWIFT MT (MT103, MT202) Proprietary CSV / Bank-specific XML for file exchange EDI/SFTP for secure data transfer

Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills Basic exposure to Angular, Python, or Java (not required, but an advantage). Understanding of QA tools and processes (API testing, load testing, security testing). Prior experience working with financial institutions or payment systems. Soft Skills & Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Detail-oriented with a focus on code quality and performance.
