Job Description About the job Kaleris is looking for a Software Engineer who brings innovation and energy to our yard management and finished vehicles logistics solutions development. Our technologies include Javascript, React.js, jQuery, Ruby on Rails, Linux, PostgreSQL, GPS and location awareness, Digital Mapping, Apple Mac development workstations, cloud computing, Redis/Resque, JSON and other queueing systems to integrate our applications with customer systems. Day-to-day Responsibilities Collaborate with team mates to formulate detailed designs, implement solutions from requirements, and estimate size of the work. Active participation in agile product development process and adherence to test-driven development methods Triage, debug and diagnose production and development integration issues Support product deployment, configuration, and testing Communicate pro-actively and listen carefully Work independently Commit to negotiated schedule Preferred Educational Qualification B.E., B.Tech, or M.Tech from IITs, NITs, or other premier institutions Experience Needed 2+ years software development experience with emphasis on cloud-based application Familiarity with production UNIX/Linux systems and Internet technologies for service delivery Ruby on Rails implementation experience Hands on experience with Ruby, HTML & CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery OO design experience and familiarity with web app frameworks such as Rails or Django Significant experience with SQL language Bachelors degree from an accredited university in computer science or related Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment by learning quickly, applying new knowledge effectively, and still maintain a disciplined approach to software development Ability to work both independently and with a team, with remote development teams (international) Passion for quality and continuous improvement Skill and experience in C++ is a plus Preferred Experience Experience with Test Driven Development methodology Experience with Agile development methodology Experience with browser compatibility issues Experience with geospatial and geo-location programming strategies a plus Experience with passive RFID technologies Good multitasking and communication skills An understanding of the logistics and supply chain industry Not complacent with the status quo Passionate about innovation and discovery Kaleris is an equal opportunity employer. What&aposs the role As a Sr. Principal Architect at HERE, you will play a pivotal role in enabling customer success through high-quality, effective technical partnerships. You will be responsible for designing and validating robust, scalable system architectures that support the creation, maintenance, and utilization of HEREs map products. Your work will involve developing clear, deliberate, and consistent architectural designs, validated through prototypes and proof-of-concepts (PoCs). You will collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, ensuring that architectural decisions are well-documented and effectively communicated. This role requires a pragmatic, hands-on approach, a strong analytical mindset, and a solid theoretical foundation. A background in distributed systems, data modelling, and geospatial applications is essential for success. You Will Also Design and deliver end-to-end system integration architectures, including data models, interoperability strategies, and content interfaces. Produce clear, formal documentation of architectural proposals and decisions. Collaborate with peers across architecture, engineering, product, sales, and customer teams to provide a comprehensive view of systems and solutions. Work closely with product engineering teams to incorporate external feedback into product planning and development. Provide technical leadership and mentorship on mission-critical topics across organizational boundaries. Stay current with relevant technologies, tools, and industry trends, and continuously seek to expand your knowledge. Who are you You Are a Technical Leader With The Following Strong foundation in computer science and software engineering; a degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly preferred. 12+ years of experience working with complex software systems in various technical roles. Proven experience in technical architecture or engineering leadership positions. Proficient in systems programming with expertise in at least one JVM-based language (e.g., Java, Scala, Kotlin). Hands-on experience with big data and distributed processing technologies such as Spark, Trino, Ray, Parquet, Delta Lake, and Apache Iceberg. Familiarity with GIS technologies, location-based services, and digital mapping. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
