Key skills required for the job are:

• At least 5-8 years hand-on DEvops (Primary)
• Gitlab (preferred)
• At least 5-8 years hand-on.net experience (Secondary)
• Building and Packaging .net Application
• Hands-on Experience Configuration management tools
• Azure DevOps Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef
• Hands on Experience in CI/CD pipeline
• Gitlab(Preferred), Maven, ADO pipeline, Jenkins
• Deployment automation, blue green (canary) deployment, etc
• Security (Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, Policies, etc)
• Networking experience (> 5 years)
• Scripting experience (unix shell, sed/awk, powershell(preferred))
• Setting up altering, monitoring ( Netcool, bigpanda, Nuget, Log Analytics )
• Application migration experience
• Good to have knowledge in Windows Servers.

As a Sr DevOps engineer, you will be part of the team to migrate client’s on-prem applications, servers, databases into the cloud environment. you are responsible for defining and implementing the end-to-end migration plan and its successfully execution and delivery.

You will work closely with client’s application and cloud governance teams to ensure smooth transition into the cloud, and support testing, application, database configurations, etc.

Responsibilities and Skill Set:

• Responsible for complete end-to-end delivery for assigned applications from the DevOps perspective.
• In charge of Building and Packaging the .net application in Gitalab and store in Organization specific Repositories
• configure resources, setup network, routing, policies, permission,
• understanding scaling, fail over, backup, etc day-to-day operations
• CLI scripting (AZ, Python, Shell scripts,)
• Execute application containerization and deployment strategies, scaling, fail-over, DR/BCP
• Monitor/manage cloud environment through CLI, tools, visualization
• Interface with clients, applications owner and cloud governance,
• Mentor junior and guide junior personnel, act as the SME for Cloud related issues and questions
• Must possess excellent automation skills and the ability to drive initiatives to automate processes.
• Building strong cross-functional leadership skills and working together with the operations and engineering teams to make sure that systems are scalable and secure.
• Excellent knowledge of software development and software testing methodologies along with configuration management practices in Unix and Linux-based environment.
• Possess sound knowledge of cloud-based environments.
• Experience in handling automated deployment CI/CD tools.
• Hand on experience in working with Azure cloud.
• Must have strong expertise in operating windows environments and scripting languages like Powershell
• Ability to review deployment and delivery pipelines i.e., implement initiatives to minimize chances of failure, identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues.
• Previous experience in implementing continuous delivery and DevOps solutions.
