Devops Engineer

Job Summary

Gemba Concepts is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our high-performance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, ensuring scalable cloud infrastructure, and supporting product and engineering teams in delivering reliable, secure, and efficient software. This role is pivotal in bridging development and operations for faster, automated delivery and seamless deployments.

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP); optimize for high availability, scalability, and cost.
• Oversee system security, perform vulnerability assessments, enforce compliance practices, and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline build, test, release, and deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to builds, deployments, performance, and infrastructure reliability.
• Implement and maintain system and application monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Document and continuously improve DevOps processes, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and work towards long-term fixes.
• Coach junior DevOps staff and support cross-functional knowledge sharing.

Require Skills and Qualifications.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).4–6 years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of

  CI/CD tools

  (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in

  cloud platforms

  : AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred).
• Experience with

  containerization & orchestration

  (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, AKS).
• Hands-on with

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  : Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with

  scripting languages

  (Python, Bash, Shell, Groovy).
• Strong understanding of

  networking, security, and system administration

  .
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, CloudWatch).

Good to Have

• Certification in AWS/Azure/GCP or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience implementing security in DevOps pipelines.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Experience with service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
