Devops Engineer

Battery Smart is Indias largest and fastest-growing battery-swapping network for electric two and three-wheelers. Founded in 2019 and launched in 2020, we are changing the game in the EV sector by making electric mobility accessible, economical, and scalable through a unique partner-led model. Today, we power the journeys of over 90,000+ drivers daily through 1,600+ swap stations across India.

Role Overview:

AWS

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS):

• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, VPC, RDS, and S3.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for scalable and repeatable deployments.
• Monitor performance and implement cost optimization strategies (e.g., Spot Instances).

2. Containerization & Orchestration:

• Build and manage Docker images and containers.
• Deploy, scale, and monitor applications on Kubernetes (EKS preferred). • Use Helm Charts for packaging and deployment consistency.

3. CI/CD Pipeline Automation:

• Set up and manage Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.
• Improve deployment efficiency and reliability through continuous integration and delivery practices.

4. Monitoring, Logging & Security:

• Implement observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch for proactive monitoring.
• Set up centralized logging and alerting systems.
• Ensure best practices in IAM policies, network security, and compliance.

5. Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with Developers, QA, and Product teams for seamless deployment and delivery.
• Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, processes, and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.).
• Practical experience with Terraform for IaC.
• Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Good understanding of networking, security, and monitoring tools.
• Scripting experience in Bash or Python for automation tasks.
