Design Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing and developing subsea products/devices, assemblies, or systems based on customer specifications and technical inputs. Your key product focus areas will include MQCs, UTAs, HFLs, and Mudmats. You will handle concept creation, detailed design, validation, and documentation aligned with industry standards to meet all technical requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and safety criteria under challenging subsea conditions. Additionally, you will deliver high-quality, timely outputs while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with engineering best practices under general supervision. Key Responsibilities: - Study inputs available for a product/design, including drawings, CAD models, and technical documents - Design and develop subsea hardwares (MQC, UTAs, Mudmat, HFLs, etc.) based on customer inquiries and specifications - Refine and improve product designs by evaluating current designs and developing new solutions - Perform design calculations such as Padeye Calculations, Cathodic Protection Calculations, Bolt Calculations, and Foundation calculations - Interpret and use industry codes and standards relevant to the product being designed - Handle technical changes and updates in PLM/PDM systems - Ensure compliance with established engineering processes and communicate regular progress updates to customers - Contribute to improving existing engineering processes Qualifications: Required: - Graduation (bachelor's degree) in Mechanical Engineering Desired: - Intermediate to Expert level user of SolidWorks and PLM/PDM software - Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and any calculations software - Familiarity with Mechanical industry codes/standards (e.g., ASME, DNV, API, AISC, etc.) - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Additional Company Details: Oceaneerings India Center has been an integral part of Oceaneering's operations since 2003, offering a wide spectrum of solutions in Subsea Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Control Systems, Software Development, Asset Integrity Management, Inspection, ROV operations, and more.
