Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and motivated Electrical Engineers to join our DC Engineering team, specializing in Switchyard and Substation Design for large-scale solar power projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of electrical designfrom concept through constructionfor high-voltage switchyards and substations. You will work closely with

multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and regulatory compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education

  : B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (M.E./M.Tech preferred).

• Experience

  : 4 to 10 years in

  substation/switchyard design

  (preferably in solar or renewable energy sector).

• Technical Skills

  :
• Electrical design tools:

  ETAP, AutoCAD, etc.

• Knowledge of

  IS, IEC, IEEE standards

  .
• Familiarity with

  SCADA, protection systems

  , and

  grid codes

  .
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
  

• PE License

  (Professional Engineer) is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-voltage switchyard and substation layouts for utility-scale solar power plants.
  
• Perform electrical studies such as load flow analysis, short-circuit calculations, and relay coordination.
  
• Review and finalize specifications for major equipment like transformers, breakers, isolators, CTs, VTs, and protection systems.
  
• Prepare engineering deliverables including SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOQs.
  
• Ensure design compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  
• Coordinate with internal teams (civil, mechanical, project management) and external consultants.
  
• Conduct site visits to assess feasibility and gather technical inputs.
  
• Support construction and commissioning teams by resolving technical queries and ensuring smooth execution.
  
• Participate in design review meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in power system design and renewable energy.
