The LS-SWIFT Division of KLA's Global Products Group provides patterned wafer inspection systems for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications KLA is seeking a motivated, experienced algorithm engineer to join our algorithms team within our LS-SWIFT division in Chennai, India. In this position, you will bring industry experience and/or academic background to research and develop new Image Processing algorithms for KLA's innovative inspection products. You will bring forward and help drive creative ideas, provide technical expertise, and support other team members, collaborators, and customers. Minimum Qualifications Masters Level Degree and 0 years related work experience Bachelors Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years

You will be responsible for examining raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Utilizing measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, you will verify product dimensions and tolerances. Conducting visual, mechanical, and functional tests will also be part of your duties. It is essential to accurately record test data and inspection results, maintaining detailed reports of defects and non-conformance. Your role will involve detecting and documenting defects or deviations from specifications. This position requires a qualification of BE Mech/Dip Mech/ITI. The working hours are 8 hours per day with a rotational shift schedule. The salary range for this position is 16000 k to 20000 k. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors/Master’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of hands-on experience in LabVIEW application development. Proficiency in NI Vision Development Module & LabVIEW FPGA/Real-Time is a plus. Knowledge of image processing techniques, OpenCV, and AI-based vision inspection is an advantage. Experience with DAQ, NI hardware, and industrial automation systems . Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team . About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled AI & Deep Learning Engineer to develop intelligent solutions that support and optimize our manual and semi-automated product assembly lines . The role involves defect detection using vision systems, process improvement through AI, and potential robotic integration. The ideal candidate will work closely with our teams in both India and China . Key Responsibilities: Design and implement AI models for product defect detection, assembly verification, and process enhancement. Develop and train computer vision models (e.g., object detection, segmentation, anomaly detection) on real assembly data. Work on model deployment for real-time edge inference using Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or similar. Travel between India and China to collect data, collaborate with factory teams, and test AI models on-site. Integrate AI solutions with production systems, sensors, and possibly PLCs/IoT infrastructure. Optimize model performance for reliability, speed, and low power use in production environments. Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience in ML/DL frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV. Experience in vision-based defect detection, segmentation, and object tracking. Familiarity with deployment tools like ONNX, TensorRT, TFLite. Prior experience working in or with manufacturing, QA, or assembly environments.
