Database Engineer

As a Lead Database Engineer, you will spearhead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data solutions. Your deep understanding of Oracle SQL, PL SQL, Data Modeling, Python, and proven leadership capabilities will be crucial in building and maintaining robust ETL pipelines. Ensuring data integrity, performance, and guiding your team towards best practices and continuous improvement are key aspects of your role. - Design database objects like tables and views for data modeling - Develop and fine-tune high-performance ETL pipelines using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL - Provide technical leadership by mentoring a team of data engineers - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions - Ensure data integrity and security, and implement continuous improvements To excel in this role, you should have: - 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field - Mastery of Oracle SQL with advanced query optimization skills - Understanding of data warehousing concepts - Strong programming abilities in PL/SQL - Leadership qualities to lead and mentor teams, manage projects, and create a positive work environment - Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, distributed computing architectures, and cloud platforms - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, knowledge of real-time data processing frameworks like Kafka, and proficiency in other programming/scripting languages such as Python or Java will be considered a plus.
