Job Summary: Wissen Technology is hiring a Data Platform Engineer / Data Engineer with 2 4 years of experience to join our high-impact engineering team. This role involves designing and developing large-scale backend services and distributed data systems that power mission-critical business operations.  

Experience : 2-4 Years  

Location: Bangalore  

Mode of Work: Hybrid (Thrice a week from office mandatory)  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, data pipelines, and batch/real-time datasets.  
  
• Build scalable and resilient components for data ingestion, processing, and analytics.  
  
• Apply best practices in object-oriented design, design patterns, and data structures.  
  
• Lead development of foundational capabilities enabling advanced data interaction and insights.  
  
• Solve complex challenges involving low latency, high correctness, and deterministic systems.  
  
• Participate in code reviews, mentor peers, and enforce coding standards.  
  
• Diagnose and resolve software defects ensuring high product quality.  
  
• Contribute to architecture and design of data platform frameworks.   
  

Required Skills and Qualification:  

• 2 4 years of software development experience.  
  
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.  
  
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka, Trino and modern data lakehouse architectures.  
  
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and backend engineering principles.  
  
• Prior experience with on-premises data platforms preferred.  
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to adapt quickly.   
  

Good to Have Skills:  

• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and hybrid architectures.  
  
• Experience in building self-serve data solutions for analytics and data science teams.
