The Senior Software Engineer in Test position at Mastercard's Consumer Data Management (CDM) Team in Pune plays a crucial role in driving the consumer data management test strategy forward through innovation and problem-solving. The team provides a centralized service for handling multi-channel real-time communications, enabling internal Mastercard programs to securely communicate with customers globally. As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will collaborate with a team of developers and QA professionals to develop high-quality, low-latency, and highly scalable services. Your responsibilities will include assisting in implementing the overall test strategy for Consumer Data Management service offerings, adhering to test automation standards of excellence, and partnering with Product Owners, Developers, and Quality Engineers to understand features and identify test needs. You will be involved in monitoring unit test coverage and quality gating, executing smoke/integration testing across all environments, and reporting on automation runs. Additionally, you will execute performance suite test runs, analyze results, and contribute to enhancing the test automation framework. To excel in this role, you should possess hands-on test automation skills in Java, SpringBoot microservice testing, and experience in unit, functional, and integration testing. Proficiency in UI test automation using the Cypress framework and familiarity with performance test tool BlazeMeter are essential. Knowledge of software development test approaches and frameworks such as BDD, Unit tests, Cucumber, Spock, and Groovy is beneficial. Experience in CI/CD principles and tools like Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and Chef is required, along with familiarity with working in a cloud environment, e.g., PCF, Azure. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have experience in writing clear and efficient test plans and test cases, working in an Agile environment, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrating initiative and a willingness to take on challenging opportunities is essential for success in this role.
