Summary:As a Custom Software Engineer, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that project requirements are met, overseeing the development process, and providing guidance to team members. You will engage in problem-solving activities, ensuring that the applications are not only functional but also optimized for performance and user experience. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies to enhance the development process and deliver high-quality software solutions. Roles & Responsibilities:1. Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java.2. Collaborate with key business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate design alternatives, facilitate discussions, and deliver innovative solutions.3. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with API standardization practices.4. Participate in code reviews and help shape coding best practices.5. Mentor junior engineers and strengthen the team’s engineering culture.6. Develop, test, and deploy integrations to support specific business needs.7. Apply creative problem-solving skills and guide team members in resolving technical challenges.8. Conduct design reviews to ensure solutions align with architectural, security, scalability, and maintainability standards.9.Provide engineering leadership within the squad and contribute to the broader engineering community and standards.10.Promote and uphold a test-first development approach and implement clean architecture principles.Professional & Technical
Skills:

(Must Have skills)1. Strong, hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot; experience with Java JFuse development.2. Solid understanding of the Java platform with project experience in Java JEE and Spring Boot.3. Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.4.Strong knowledge of Java 8 functional programming and Spring Boot.5.Experience with B2C/B2B Hybris accelerators; familiarity with Hybris ORM, WCMS, Backoffice, Cockpits, and SOLR is a plus.6. Experience integrating multiple payment providers.7.Good understanding of application servers, SQL (MySQL, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server), and XML.8.Exposure to HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery.
